The next stop. New Mexico.
We got to see the one and only Kelly! Who we love and adore. We also got to meet the other half Chris! As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and treated to such a delicious dinner. Thank you, Chris for grilling. Seriously, best steak I have had in a really long time, so my tummy was extremely happy.
We spent the evening flipping through pictures, learning about the crazy runs these two do. In fact, I was not only impressed, but really motivated! I have signed up for a half marathon in December! This will be my first half post baby. I am really excited, but also very nervous because well, my training is lacking and its post baby. BUT HEY! Thanks for the motivation J
Then the next morning, we were slow in getting up and made Kelly late for work, but thank you for hanging out with us and tell your boss sorry!
After we left Artesia, we headed an hour out of the way to see Roswell because Sean insisted we visit the aliens. AND SO WE WENT.
I have to say that I was not as impressed as I was when I was a kid. The town has changed A LOT and I believe they do not want to be known as the “alien town” anymore because if you blink to fast, you won’t even see the alien attractions. Twenty years ago, there were aliens everywhere… now you got to search for them. But we had fun and enjoyed the little fun museum we explored through.
Once we got our "alien fix", we hopped in the car and were TEXAS BOUND.
It was a long drive in the end, but we wanted to make it home, because the following day was my birthday! We got back to my mama’s house just in time for cake and celebration.
